Educational activity

Teaching is carried out at both the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Environmental Engineering. The teams teach obligatory subjects and optional subjects, forming part of full-time M. Sc. studies, vocational studies and M. Sc. complementary studies.

The majority of subjects taught are taught to students, who are on the Civil Engineering Degree Course, and also for students from the Transport Degree Course. Their main subjects are: Building Chemistry, Building Materials and Materials Science. Within a group of optional subjects the most popular ones are still: Protection of Building against Corrosion, Selected Problems concerning Building Materials, Special Concretes and Special Techniques of Concreting. Every year about 10 theses at M. Sc. and B. Sc. level are supervised by the staff. Diploma work has also been carried out for foreign students (Socrates/Erasmus exchange) over the last few years. The staff of the Chair are the authors of many handbooks, student books and other teaching aids and also take part in the national works to improve study programmes for materials subjects.
